It has been a little while since the last time. I have not been able to update the podcast as I have been in hospital since the 18th of this month for an operation for fibroids. The operation went well and I was discharged this morning, and I have to prepare for university classes starting at the end of May. It has been five years since I have taken more than a week off work. The last time I took time off work was when I travelled to Los Angeles in the spring of 2018. But it wasn&#8217;t a complete holiday because I continued working in Los Angeles. This time it was a complete holiday because I wasn&#8217;t able to use a computer or the Internet. When I was in hospital, I spent my time reading books and playing game apps. Emmanuel Todd is a French historical demographer born in 1951. He is famous for his ability to accurately predict future social and political events by studying historical data from around the world, including population, religion and family structure. I found out about him when I was researching the possibility of World War III. Even if you are not an academic researcher, being knowledgeable about history and society \u2018ni koshita koto wa nai\u2019. &#8216;Koshita koto wa nai (is the best)&#8217; means &#8216;something is always the best idea&#8217;. It is used for verbs, nouns and adjectives. For example, good health \u2018ni koshita koto wa nai\u2019 (there is nothing better than good health).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4eca\u6708\u306f\u5fd9\u3057\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3067\u3059\u304c\u3001\u65e5\u672c\u306b\u65c5\u884c\u306b\u6765\u305f\u751f\u5f92\u3055\u3093\u3068\u5915\u98df\u306b\u884c\u3051\u305f\u306e\u3067\u697d\u3057\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3067\u3059\u3002\u306f\u3044\u3001\u3058\u3083\u3042\u4eca\u65e5\u306f\u3053\u3093\u306a\u611f\u3058\u3067\u7d42\u308f\u308a\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002\u307e\u305f\u6b21\u56de\u304a\u4f1a\u3044\u3057\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002\u3069\u3046\u3082\u3042\u308a\u304c\u3068\u3046\u3054\u3056\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This month has been busy, but I enjoyed it because I was able to go to dinner with some students who had travelled to Japan.
